Day trip to London

There are not many things I enjoy more than a little adventure into London with friends. I love the fact that there’s always something to do in the city and the atmosphere that comes with it.

When I was younger I’d always want to cram everything into one day whilst in London and do all the touristy things like the London Eye, Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace… Now I just plan a couple things and then if I have time to do anything else then that’s great, if not then you’re never disappointed that you didn’t get to go and do it. This time I went down to Camden and Brick Lane Market. It’s something about these two places that do it for me. Camden has that buzz and Brick Lane has some crazy street style to see. Laura and I went to Camden first to check out all the little stalls and then somehow ended up at a Labrinth gig to launch his new single.

I’m not going to pretend to be a massive fan of Labrinth’s, because if I was I’d of knew about the gig, but afterwatching his performance I was very

impressed by his latest single. This is the second time of seeing him live and was such a massive improvement. I actually really like the song!

Camden’s got that edge to it that you don’t get from a walk down Oxford St. As it was a weekend it was quite busy in the market, but fun nonetheless. We then headed over to East London and Brick Lane, although it took us a little while to find it (I say a little while, we walked 15 minutes in the wrong direction and asked twice for directions) we finally found it. Although it was a day of just looking around, I could have easily spent so much money at Brick Lane with all its stalls. I definitely recommend going to Brick Lane on a Sunday as that’s when all the markets are on. The next time I go I’ll be going with a more healthier bank balance that is for sure.
