The Beach People

There are some places that make you question 'Is that in England?' Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coastline is one of them.

Though February isn't blessed with warm weather, towards the back end of the month it brought warmish weather and blue skies meaning it was time to pack up the car. I grabbed my camera, my Polaroid and the coolest beach towels by The Beach People and head down to Durdle Door on the Jurassic coastline.

Made in Australia, The Beach People create premium beach towels that make trips to the beach an even better thing. Finding the brand inside one of my favourite coffee shops in Dorset, We Are Coast, and a scroll through their Instagram feed later, Both myself and Emily wanted to take a trip to the English coastline with their towels to show them off in a cooler climate on a stoney beach. With us we had the Aztec and The Dreamtime Round Towel. But when I'm not at the beach, I have mine hanging off my bed as a throw and it adds a really nice touch to my room.

Durdle Door has everything going for it. With a relatively secluded beach and clear waters, this is one of mine and Emily’s favourite spots to go. For me, in my last few months of living in Dorset, I want to make the most of everything it has to offer and to not spend my time unproductively, whether that be with work or going out and exploring.

This trip was for us to spend time chilling away from the books and taking some photos. It’s so easy as a student to stay at home, but it feels great to get outside and then do work in the evening. I actually feel like I've done something with my day. I'd encourage everyone to get away from the desk and find their favourite spots in their hometown. Durdle Door is one of mine, where’s yours?
